Jeana Lucarelli, Psy.D.
Co-Founder and Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Education and Experience

Dr. Jeana Lucarelli is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois with six years experience in treating a wide array of mental health issues. She has experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings, including inpatient/outpatient hospitals, community mental health centers, public school systems, private practice, and skilled nursing and assisted living facilities throughout the Chicagoland area.

Dr. Lucarelli completed her Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Psychology from University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana. Dr. Lucarelli went on to earn her Masters of Arts (M.A.) and Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from the APA Accredited Clinical Psychology Program at Argosy University in 2012. She completed her post-doctoral position at JFZ Health Solutions, LLC where she received training in individual and group psychotherapy for residents of skilled nursing facilities. She gained notable experience in working with psychological adjustments of patients who were experiencing severe and/or chronic, challenging medical conditions, in conjunction with addressing their psychological needs.

Orientation and Style

Dr. Lucarelli believes that a holistic approach to the psychosocial well- being of the individual is key and that healing begins with both a collaborative and relational process.

Personal

Dr. Lucarelli grew up in Buffalo Grove. She is married and lives with her husband and daughter in the Bucktown neighborhood where she enjoys family time, attending movies, being outdoors and cycling.

Gabrielle Wolk-Phillips, Psy.D.
Co-Founder and Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Education and Experience

Dr. Gabrielle Wolk-Phillips is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois who specializes in individual and group therapy with adults and older adults. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida and first found her passion for working with older adults during a summer break while volunteering at The Weinberg Center for Senior Living in Northbrook, Illinois. After that experience, Dr. Wolk went on to earn her Master of Arts (M.A.) and Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from the APA Accredited Clinical Psychology program at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. She concentrated in Health Psychology and although she knew she wanted to focus her career on working with older adults, she gained clinical experience working with a broad range of populations and mental health issues in various settings. Some of these settings included a 600-bed residential home in Kankakee for individuals with severe developmental disabilities and severe, chronic mental illness; a Catholic school in the Southwest side of Chicago; and a non-profit center in Northbrook for individuals with cancer and their families.

Dr. Wolk-Phillips completed her APA-Accredited Internship at Nova Southeastern University at the Nova Counseling Center for Older Adults in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and simultaneously volunteered at Miami Jewish Health Systems in their skilled nursing facility. She completed her post-doctoral position providing individual and group psychotherapy in skilled nursing facilities around the Chicagoland area.

Orientation and Style

Dr. Wolk-Phillips has special clinical interest in aging, death/dying, loss/bereavement, adjustment and life transitions, the interaction between medical and mental health conditions, the mind-body connection, mindfulness meditation, spirituality, existential and humanistic psychology, reminiscence, and finding meaning in life’s experiences. Her psychotherapy style is founded on a Client-Centered, Existential/Humanistic orientation while integrating methods influenced by Logotherapy, ACT, CBT, and Stress Reduction models.

Personal

Dr. Wolk-Phillips grew up in Highland Park. She is married and lives in Logan Square with her husband and dog, Cyrus. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, movies, working out, and traveling.
